Data Sources & Attribution
Frozen 22 August 2026. This page distinguishes sources used by the current Public Radar from data products being evaluated for a future model.
Evidence status
commercial_v1_temporal_v2_anchor produces a relative planning signal, not a certified occurrence probability. Its source families were selected for commercial compatibility, but part of the legacy background training data does not retain the row-level citation evidence required by Boletar's newer fail-closed standard.
Current production and runtime sources
- GBIF occurrence data: CC0 / CC BY records only. Data publishers and the applicable occurrence-download DOI must be cited. Legacy background citation evidence is incomplete.
- ERA5-Land: climate and recent weather, DOI 10.24381/cds.e2161bac.
- Copernicus Global Land Cover 100 m: 2019 land-cover and tree-cover context.
- ESA WorldCover: 2020 v100, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.5571936.
- NASA / USGS SRTM: elevation and derived terrain.
- ISRIC SoilGrids: v2.0 soil context, CC BY 4.0.
- NASA POWER: Data v10 recent-weather fallback; Boletar records the exact service version and access date.
Prospective sources—not in the current model
- CHELSA v2.1 BIOCLIM and additional ERA5-Land soil water/temperature fields.
- ECMWF Open Data IFS ENS Cycle 50r1 issue-time archive. Two verified cycles are not enough to train or release readiness.

Permanent Public / Private boundary
Consumer Found, Absent, photos, Private Logbook/Vault records, and every aggregate or derivative are permanently excluded from Public model training, feature design, calibration, thresholding, model selection, and qualification. They may only improve that same user's on-device Private Radar.
