Planning and maps

Resolve the most common Predict, Time Scan, location, and connectivity issues.

Predict says the pin is outside suitable forest

Move the pin away from buildings, large roads, water, and open fields and place it inside the adjacent forest. Map surface hints are advisory; Boletar's server-side habitat check makes the final decision.

Location permission is optional. You can always search for a place or select a pin manually.

A prediction or scan does not load
  1. Confirm the iPhone has an active internet connection.
  2. Move the pin inside Boletar's supported European coverage.
  3. Retry once after a few seconds.
  4. Close and reopen Boletar if the request remains pending.

When contacting support, include the selected place, date, app build, and the exact error message.

Time Scan is not an occurrence guarantee

Time Scan is a seasonal trip-planning comparison for the selected pin. It is not a certified occurrence probability, a harvest guarantee, species identification, or legal access advice.

Offline maps or saved planning areas are unavailable
  1. Connect to Wi-Fi or a reliable mobile network.
  2. Open Settings and verify that Boletar Pro is active.
  3. Download the required area again before leaving coverage.
  4. Keep Boletar open until the download completes.

Boletar Pro subscriptions

Monthly and Annual unlock the same Pro tools. Storefront prices and billing are provided by Apple.

Restore an existing Boletar Pro purchase
  1. Use the same Apple Account that originally purchased Boletar Pro.
  2. Open Boletar and select Settings.
  3. Open Boletar Pro Plans.
  4. Tap Restore Purchases and wait for confirmation.

Restoring a purchase does not create a new charge. Private archive recovery is a separate action under Data & Privacy.

Manage or cancel a subscription

Open Boletar Settings and choose Manage Subscriptions, or use Apple's subscription management page. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not remove access before the current paid period ends.

A purchase is pending or was cancelled

A pending purchase may require approval through Ask to Buy or completion by Apple. Boletar unlocks Pro only after Apple reports a verified active entitlement. Cancelling the purchase sheet does not charge the account.

A refund, expiry, or billing issue removed Pro access

Boletar follows the active entitlement reported by Apple. First use Restore Purchases. For billing, refund, or payment-method questions, contact Apple Billing Support.

Data & Privacy

Your exact pins and Found/Absent records are private. They do not enter a public hotspot pool.

How Found and Absent records are used

Found and qualified Absent records tune only the current Pro user's on-device Private Radar. Better dates, pins, outcomes, and search-effort records improve that user's private planning context. They do not update Boletar's public model and are not sent to an authenticity-review queue.

Export, restore, or delete private data
  1. Open Boletar Settings.
  2. Select Data & Privacy.
  3. Choose the relevant export, backup, restore, reset, or delete action.

Store exported backups only on a trusted encrypted drive or password manager. Boletar support will never request your Private Vault recovery key.

Request server-held data access, export, or deletion

Use Request My Data Export in Boletar's Data & Privacy screen, or email support@boletar.com with the request type and your Boletar device ID. Do not include an Apple password or recovery key.
